Tom Yam, Here Am I Again!

It was a beautiful evening. A beautiful lovely orange-y sunset.

It happens that way for a reason- because I’m going to have my Tom Yam dinner with a good, pretty, old-friend.

Orange sunset

It rained dogs and cats while we were on the way and it stopped when we reached the restaurant. Perfect!

Guess what? It was closed! Nonetheless, since the door was not locked, we went in. Sounds rather persistent, huh?

They were shocked to see us, and me, again.

They told us the shop is ‘closed’ because they had a party there earlier and had used up all the prawns and basically all other foods. Anyway they still could cook nice good tom yam for us, but without prawn.

Yes, that’s good enough for both of us. We had mixed Tom Yam, and 2 other vegetables. She ordered an ‘intermediate’ level Tom Yam meanwhile I had my ‘advanced’ level Tom Yam.

Advanced level Tom YamBehold, this is the advanced level Tom Yam.

Intermediate Level Tom YamThe intermediate level Tom Yam 😛

See the colour difference between the two?

Mine tasted a ‘wow’ and followed by ‘kaboom’ (this time I talked personally to the cook – hot in temperature and hot in tongue!). And I think it makes my hair stands straight!

She agreed that this restaurant serves great Tom Yam. Yay!

Opposite central market. The second row of the old shop. First floor. What an awkward place for a restaurant!
