A Prayer For Vivian

Vivian, a mother, a wife, friends to many, who is currently in Belfast, Northen Ireland, is in dire need for all our prayers.

She had a fever, passed out, was in Intensive Care Unit for 2 months and finally woke up but without her basic abilities and skills. She can’t recognize her own family members and friends too. Till today doctors still yet to identify what had befallen onto her.

I do not know her personally but this was brought into my attention by “Serendipity Hopeful”: http://novice101.wordpress.com/2009/01/23/life-prayers-hope-recovery-happiness/.

Together we pray to the Lord that Vivian will recover soonest possible, regain her basic abilities and skills as well as her her memory.

We pray for her family, may they be patient in this period of test and continue to pray faithfully. May Almighty God envelops them with His love, soothes their grief, take away their fear and worries and shower them with His peace.

We pray for the doctors, that with God’s grace, they will be able to find out what disease had befallen Vivian soonest possible and finally able to help her to recover.

We also pray for all those who are sick and in pain, especially those whom we know; my friends and relatives who are sick. May their faith be strengthened and never cease to pray despite all the difficulties and suffering they undergo.

With God’s grace, may they continue to find hope and light in this world, and find that life is beautiful, despite all the worries and pain they undergo daily. I pray that they will never give up and put their trust in Him.

Heavenly Father, let your Spirit enlighten us at all times, that realizing our sinfulness, we may be attracted by your mercy and may come to you in life and in death. This we ask through Christ our Lord, Amen.
