Job. This is Job, a biblical figure from Old Testament.

Have you read the Book of Job? I’m still reading it.

In the last Sunday’s homily, the priest shared the story from the Book of Job.

It was a very interesting sharing – a good and God fearing man’s faith and loyalty was put to test. The test was a rather terrible one- all his children dead, lost all his fortunes and struck with disease.

In one way, it’s just so applicable to our today’s life.

Often we wonder why misfortunes fall upon us. We tend to blame someone or God when things go bad. We always try to create answers for things we never understand – just like Job’s three friends.

This book of Job teaches us to pray and trust in God under all circumstances. It’s not an easy thing to do but someone did it- Job.

I pray that I will have a strong faith like Job, blameless and continue to trust God no matter what happened. Amen.
